School of Physician Assistant Studies
Student Government Association

Purpose

The Physician Assistant Student Government Association (PASGA) was established in May 2005 to represent the interests of the students of the Physician Assistant Program. Representatives from each PA class work together with the administration and faculty in order to better serve the student’s unique academic, non-academic, and social interests.

Our Representatives

Currently there are student representatives on the Technology, Admissions, and Curriculum Review Committees, offering valuable insight to the PA program and institution. PASGA serves as a conduit in which students concerns can be addressed for the purpose of making changes that benefit the entire Touro Community.

Goals

The PASGA, although in its adolescence has been active in meeting the demands and requests of the Touro student body. Last winter, it sponsored the first annual Winter Ball, a formal event for both students and faculty. Currently a gift shop is being established for the purchase of items which will allow Touro students to proudly display school pride, such as school t-shirts, mugs, binders, and other merchandise. In addition PASGA is actively developing a books store where used and new textbooks can be purchased. Furthermore, PASGA encourages the development of student groups to better represent the interests of the Touro student body. Moreover, PASGA is diligently emphasizing community awareness by encouraging student involvement in community events, which affect the Touro Community.
