Past ACOFP activities

• ACOFP Presidential Visit - ACOFP President-elect, Dr. Ronnie Martin, DO, FACOFP, with the executive board of SAACOFP and ACOFP advisor David Park, DO, during Dr. Martin’s visit to TUNCOM.

• ACOFP's Canned Food Drive - Some of the food and baby items collected during ACOFP’s canned food drive that challenged each class to collect the most cans. Great job everyone!

• ACOFP Presidential Visit - ACOFP President Dr. Steven F. Rubin, DO, FACOFP dist., addressing the student body during his visit to TUNCOM.

• AOA Presidential Visit - AOA President Dr. Peter B. Ajluni, DO, discussing the “Fit for Life” theme to his presidency during his visit to TUNCOM.

• Las Vegas Rescue Mission - members of ACOFP often assist the Las Vegas Rescue Mission during their dinner hours in handing out food and toiletries to transient members of the community.

 

• Tar Wars- a tobacco-free education program for children from the American Academy of Family Physicians. ACOFP members coordinated and led Tar Wars presentations in five local elementary schools. Please see www.tarwars.org for more details.

• Henderson 5K Fun Run/Walk for Global Health hosted by the Student International Health Coalition- ACOFP sponsored a table at the health fair following the run. Information packets regarding healthy eating and exercise were handed out to runners and their families, as well as clementines for a healthy snack!
