We each have our own perspectives on Osteopathic medicine, and what it means to us personally and professionally. So feel free to talk to us about any thoughts you may have, about SOMA here at Touro University Nevada, or what you hope to get out of your Osteopathic education. And don’t worry, there are still plenty of positions be filled!

National SOMA Conventions
Washington, DC – DO Day on the Hill
Attending conventions organized by National SOMA lies at the heart of your experience as a SOMA member. There are two main conventions – one during the fall and one during the spring, where SOMA members from all Osteopathic medical schools across the nation meet to discuss health issues that affect both patients and us as future physicians. Conventions in the fall vary in location, but the spring convention is traditionally held in our nation’s capital. For instance, this year’s DO Day on the Hill centered on creating more residency slots for graduating physicians (both Allopathic and Osteopathic), as well as restructuring Medicare reimbursement programs. DO Day on the Hill is a great opportunity for Osteopathic medical students to meet face to face with your congressional representatives and discuss what issues you see today in American healthcare. So take charge of your future as an Osteopathic physician and join SOMA today!
