About Our National Affiliate

Founded in 1950, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) represents more than 20,000 practicing osteopathic family physicians, residents and students in the United States. Osteopathic Family Physicians are DOs (Doctors of Osteopathy) who specialize in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, a method in which they use their hands to diagnose and treat the patient, giving particular attention to joints, bones, muscles and nerves. DOs promote a patient-centered approach to medical care.

Our Advisor

Daliah Wachs, MD, FAAFP

Daliah Wachs grew up in Las Vegas. She received an Honors/BS at UNLV, went to medical school at University of Nevada School of Medicine, finished her residency in Las Vegas, and is board certified and a fellow in family medicine. She owned a successful medical practice for 16 years before taking an Assistant Professor position at Touro University of Nevada in 2016. She is also a media personality, hosting a nationally syndicated radio show and frequently seen on television as a medical expert. She loves to teach and talk; fortunately they both go hand in hand.
