Toni Young

Executive Student Body President- Elect

Hi everyone!  My name is Toni Young and I am the President-Elect.  I am the liaison between the student body and the administration.  I meet regularly with Dean Tompkins, Dean Dougherty, my board members, the class council, and the presidents of the other programs.  If you have any concerns, please feel free to come to me or any of your student leaders.  I represent the school at national conferences hosted by AACOM and the AOA where I learn about changes in our education and profession.  Some of our goals this year are to increase student involvement within and between the various programs, increase mental health discussions and wellness activities, and improve student resources.  Outside of school, I enjoy reading, running, traveling, and a slew of outdoor activities!  If you have questions about anything, please contact me via phone, email or find me in the classroom or at the front desk!

Meggan Murphy

Executive Vice President of Communications

Hi, everyone! As OMSGA Vice President of Communications, I help everybody maintain clear, fluid communication by connecting DO cohorts, Touro’s other programs, administration and members of the community. Part of my job also includes serving as a liaison between the DO students and the Clinical Education Department, facilitating a smooth transition from second-year didactics to third-year rotations. I aim to create a positive environment by decorating our lecture halls, overseeing the Student Doctor of the Month program, and facilitating selection of the next Student Doctor of the Year. Outside of this position, I enjoy serving as the President of our Pediatrics Interest Group, snowboarding when I can, running each morning, playing with my floppy-eared bunny Dixie, and trying to teach myself how to cook. I’d love to get to know you all and help out however I can, so feel free to reach out anytime!
